Whole beans - Colombia, Tolima. 250g. Fairtrade & Organic
Our bean from Colombia is full-bodied, dark, suitable with milk and easy to work with.
The coffee originates in the Region of Tolima in the southwestern part of Colombia. It is traced back to the family-owned farms of the SURCAFE cooperative. SURCAFE was founded in 2016 by 56 families who had the common desire to create better living conditions for themselves and their families. By joining forces, they created a better basis for exports and thus better prices for their quality coffee. At SURCAFE they have a special idea of the environment and the people, which is why the cooperative is also both Fairtrade and ecologically certified.
Tolima is one of 32 departments in Colombia. Departments are a bit like a state - they each have their own governor. Tolima is located in the Andean region, mid-west of the country. The area has an area of 23,562 km² and its capital is Ibagué. The Department of Tolima was established in 1861 from part of what used to be Cundinamarca.
All our beans are hand-roasted. This means that it is processes controlled by humans and not just a machine. Our personal coffee roaster, Malu, controls all the processes and temperatures during roasting. Every 30 years. Second, she checks temperatures and adjusts, depending on which bean is involved.
This coffee is also available in our range as Coffebrewers. It is a coffee maker where the coffee is brewed directly in the packaging. You open the bag and just pour hot water over. Follow the instructions on the package and brew the coffee in the desired strength. These brewers are perfect to take out or if you want it easy. They are the combination of quality and convenience!
