Coffee Tree Coffea Arabica, where the coffee originates from, is a very well-known mountain area in Ethiopia. Legend has it that when guarding his flock, a young goatherder named Kaldi, observed that his goats started behaving strangely after eating berries from an unknown tree. This inspired Kaldi to bring back some of the berries to a nearby monastery where they brewed tea out of them to uncover the miraculous effect. Centuries of perfecting the brewing of the berries are said to have resulted in the coffee we all drink today.
