But when it was his turn in line, the unexpected happened: He looked at the plate, nodded hungrily – and said:

Behind him stood a Liberal Party politician who couldn’t resist and dryly remarked: "What, isn’t that against party policy – supporting pig farming AND being happy?" A small wave of laughter spread through the canteen, and the Red-Green Alliance politician turned around, took it all with a twinkle in his eye, and replied:
"This is system criticism on a full stomach, comrade."
But the funniest part came afterwards: He sat down and was photographed (by a young intern) with both meatballs halfway gone – and that photo, according to rumour, has hung behind the counter at Snapstinget for years under the title “The revolution starts after lunch.”
