COFFEE PROFILES

Our Brazilian decaf coffee comes from the Eastern part of Brazil, more specifically the Minas Gerais region. Minas Gerais is by far Brazil’s most important coffee-producing region, accounting for half of the entire country’s coffee production, due to its rich soils and higher elevations which make favourable conditions for coffee plant growth.

Taste notes: Cocoa nibs, blackberries and hazelnuts

100% Arabica Decaf Coffee

In Colombia, sugar cane is widely available, having great economic impact in terms of using this resource within the coffee industry, particularly when talking about the sugar cane decaffeination process. Our Colombia coffee is one such great example, undergoing this decaf process using Ethyl acetate (EA), a solvent derived from sugar cane which, used in proper conditions and in adequate amounts, is an excellent selective remover of caffeine.

Taste notes: Sweet nectarine, chocolate and cane sugar

100% Arabica Decaf Coffee

Our decaf coffee from Honduras comes specifically from the area around the Celaque National Park in the Western side of the country. The cooperative CAPUCAS was founded in 1999 by Omar Jose Rodriguez. Right from the beginning, it has been a priority for Omar and the cooperative to take good care of their employees, and for this reason, they have facilitated free medical help, free football academy membership and around-the-clock access to a virtual library.

Taste notes: Cherry plum, chocolate and Brazil nut

100% Arabica Decaf Coffee, Organic and Fairtrade Certified

Our Peru decaf coffee is well-known for the Swiss Water Decaf process it undergoes. Swiss Water® Process is an organic, 100% chemical-free decaffeination process, relying on a supersaturated coffee solution called Green Coffee Extract (GCE). In order to achieve decaffeination using this method, GCE is introduced into a batch of green coffee. As the GCE is saturated with water-soluble compounds found in green coffee, the molecules do not diffuse out of the coffee beans, while the caffeine does, retaining the flavour of the beans, while the caffeine is fully removed.

Taste notes: Tobacco, cocoa nibs and gooseberries

100% Arabica Decaf Coffee, Oragnic and Fairtrade Certified

This coffee is collected from 400 small producers by the family-owned Romina company. The cherries are fully washed processed and dried at the Bochesa village station in the Nensebo woreda (district) of the Oromo region (West Arsi zone). This family business is currently run by Michael Girma and his family, operating in several sectors, with coffee export being one of their main areas of focus. They are keen to see investment in Ethiopia grow and work with rigour and passion to unlock the country's potential.

Taste notes: Muscovado sugar, yellow kiwi and oat
