This coffee is produced in the region of North Kivu, in the Virunga National Park on Lake Kivu. Cultivated without pesticides or chemical fertilizers, cherries take time to grow in the shade of jungles, after which small producers manually harvest them before being processed, de-pulped, and sorted. Thanks to its exceptional climate conditions, this coffee is considered a “grand cru” (in wine terms) for coffee lovers.
